Franchising: Franchise Marketing Support

Business, Franchising No Comments

Franchise marketing support is critical if you want to expand your franchise empire beyond just a few units. After all, with the market oversaturated as it is, even well-established chains may have difficulty reaching out from beyond their market base. Consider one of my favorite chains, the Mexican restaurant, Baja Fresh. This chain, popular for years in Southern California, only recently broke out.

Part of the reason Baja Fresh is suddenly showing up in Washington D.C. and New York is word-of-mouth advertising. Without a nationwide advertising program, Baja Fresh was able to enter these new markets. Yet for most small businesses, a more aggressive campaign is necessary. So what can you do to get your company into new markets?

Designing a Franchise Marketing Support Initiative
First and foremost, work in collaboration with your franchise consulting company to figure out ways of penetrating these markets. Its not enough to say that you want to expand to New York. You have to target a specific open niche in the city. Once you define your target zone, you can then develop an advertising strategy to reach customers in that area.

That being said, you can also leave it up to individual franchise owners to go where they see fit. The may be a better strategy, as it takes the burden off of you. While you can provide incentives for franchisees who want to expand into certain territories, your best strategy may simply be to let the markets play out and define your territory for you.

Often still, there are many who wish to see an end to societal ills, such as programs for the homeless and against prejudice that are often the causes attached to non profit organizations.

Corporate Audiences In Fund Raising for Non Profits
Many corporations participate in non profit fund raising. Within corporate budgets, there are typically funds allotted for charities and non profits. It is a tax write-off for most corporations at the end of the year, so they are often a good resource for non profit funding.

Check the library and internet for which corporations are giving. Also check the Securities Exchange Commission web site for additional fiscal information on companies. In addition, some companies are interested in particular kinds of charities and non profits. Many corporations prefer to have a relationship with childrens charities or womens charities, depending on their brands target market. The best fund raising programs are those specifically suited for your group or organization. These programs do not have to entail a lot. They only have to be simple and fun and well-planned.

The internet and the library are your best resources when planning your fundraising programs. There are many options available, but not all may be suited for your needs. Be sure to look at profit percentages. You want to choose the option that will give you maximum profit. Successful fund raising programs are not those that do not allow your organization to meet its fiscal goal.

A lot of planning should go into your fundraiser. Planning and organization are the keys to successful fundraiser. Oftimes, these logistical concerns are more important than which kind of fundraiser your choose. Keeping good records is key. Rest assured that fund raising is a task that requires a lot of planning and organization. However, fund raisers do not have to be difficult or ornate to get the best results. After all, typically the goal of the fund raiser is to reach a financial goal set by you and your group members prior to planning the event.

High school fund raising is intended to assist students and the schools they attend with implementing useful programs and activities to educate students. Communities have long invested in their schools and the children who attend them. This is done with the understanding that our children are our future.

Make no mistake that most of your neighbors are interested in giving to the schools in your community. High school fund raising is a good way to capitalize on this interest. Whether it is team sports, academic clubs, or a special field trip, it is not difficult to get community buy in on your fundraising projects.

How to Choose the Right Fund Raiser
School fundraisers are often the most successful. The student body, parents, teachers, alumni, and the community are all potential supporters. Offering useful items or items linked with school spirit are often a great way to raise money for your organization.

Many companies offer fund raising options. Dont relegate yourself to traditional fund raisers. If something has worked in the past, it may not necessarily work today. While candy bar sales are a longheld fund raising tradition, offering alternatives to candy may be a good idea. Remember, not everyone is sugar friendly. Think outside the box by offering items that are appealing to a wide range of tastes and preferences. There is a fund raising item out there for every school or organization.
